Center for Entrepreneurship

Center for Entrepreneurship

The Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation seeks to strengthen students’ entrepreneurial skills in order to help them conceive and develop their business ideas for Colombia and Latin America. The center supports students’ initiatives with entrepreneurial guidance and accompanies them to the end of their projects through external sources of funding and private investors, among others.

As part of a multidisciplinary university, the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation seeks to use the research projects undertaken by students and professors to foster significant impact on the development of entrepreneurships. It also combines the professors’ academic production with the dilemmas of the real world faced by businesspeople when going from the idea to the actual business.

The Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation facilitates collaboration between the corporate world and academic researchers in order to promote links between entrepreneurial projects and sources of funding. It also offers an environment in which students from different schools within the University have the opportunity to share their experiences and learn from one another, thus building and broadening valuable networks.

The Center for Entrepreneurship's activities include the design, development and execution of support programs to strengthen students’ entrepreneurship and innovation processes, complementing the School’s academic areas. These areas include the Entrepreneurship Program, which provides guidance for undergraduate and graduate students, and the New Ventures Program, which is an acceleration program for high-impact companies.
